B’s Egg Rolls to open at new location
B’s Egg Rolls will open Saturday at a new location, 2810 Plover Road in Plover.
A marquee sign and a banner in front of the former On the Go Gyro building announced the new drive-thru location would be coming soon.
B's Egg Rolls originally opened in July 2020 at 301 Division St. in Stevens Point and closed the following March. People then took to social media to ask when the restaurant would reopen or when it would open in a new location.
Los Victor’s Mexican Food California Style opened at the Division Street location in April 2021.
B’s Egg Rolls previously offered a menu of pork and veggie egg rolls, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, stuffed chicken wings, banh mi sandwiches, pork fried rice, steamed buns with pork filling and more.
In 2020, owner Bee Yang told the Stevens Point Journal he used to run a concession trailer, but that required a lot of travel and finding a new spot each week. Yang has also been running a stand at the farmers market, but he told the Journal he wanted to open a more permanent location as a way to give back to the community.
The Violet Basil debuts new lunch menu
The Violet Basil announced its new lunch menu last month.
The menu features appetizers like a fresh burrata board, broiled bruschetta trio, an Italiano charcuterie board and spinach and artichoke mozzarella fritters. Guests can choose from an Italian wedding soup with meatballs or a roasted tomato bisque, along with a variety of red or white flatbreads and hoagies. The lunch menu also offers a pasta salad, a marinated tomato and feta salad, truffle chips and desserts.
The restaurant serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The Violet Basil, a Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian restaurant, opened in November in the former Cheese Louise’s Market & Café space at 4928 Main St. in Stevens Point. For more information, visit thevioletbasil.zensmb.com or find The Violet Basil on Facebook.
