Stretch of I-5 in Marysville reopens after report of shots fired from car window
A stretch of Interstate 5 in Marysville was briefly shut down Saturday night after a report of shots being fired from a car window, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office announced.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies received a “suspicious call” reporting gunshots being fired out of a car window. Deputies found the vehicle near 116th Street Northeast and I-5.
The freeway was shut down in both directions from 116th Street Northeast to just south of State Route 531 as deputies stopped the car. A gun was found in the car, but the sheriff’s office said there were no victims.
The roadway has since reopened and there is no threat to the public.
Firearm located in the vehicle but at this time there do not appear to be any victims. Roadway has been reopened and there is no outstanding threat to the public. https://t.co/2KxBRBIyn8
