'Strictly' star Dianne Buswell hints at marriage with boyfriend Joe Sugg

Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg have been dating ever since they met as dance partners on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2018, and Buswell has said she wants to "be with Joe forever".

The 33-year-old star told the Mirror that 30-year-old Sugg is her "little rock" and that they have been able to keep their relationship healthy despite their hectic work schedules.

Asked about the possible future for the couple, Buswell said it's "not for me to answer" whether the sound of wedding bells could be on the horizon.

She added: "Obviously, I’d love to be with Joe forever so whether we get married or not, as long as we’re together then I’m happy."

The Australian dancer said she and Sugg will often spend weeks apart due to her touring commitments and his work, but that they are "so chilled" and always able to make time for each other.

Buswell said: "He’s so supportive – we’re each other’s rock. He’s so busy with his work and I’m so busy with mine, but when we’re finally together after our crazy days, it’s so lovely."

The duo made it all the way to the Strictly Come Dancing final in 2018, losing out to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who also became a couple after the series ended.

Buswell revealed that she and Sugg still dance together when they find the time, with the dancer saying that Sugg's ballroom skills have "improved leaps and bounds".

After a successful few years on Strictly, Buswell's experience on the latest series in 2021 was cut short after partner Robert Webb had to pull out of the competition due to health concerns.

"One thing I’ve learned with Strictly is you just never know what partner you’re going to get," said Buswell.

She added: "You never know what’s going to happen, what the audience will love and what they maybe don’t take to as much. You just have to take the good with the bad with Strictly and enjoy every single week as it comes."

Buswell said she's still keen to remain a part of the Strictly roster, adding that "I couldn’t think of not doing my dancing", despite her desire to try out other projects.
