Tributes from Strictly Come Dancing stars are pouring in following the death of judge Len Goodman

The Strictly judge passed away on Saturday night (April 22) in a hospice in Kent, where he was staying following his cancer diagnosis.

After the sad news was shared, Strictly host Claudia Winkleman took to Twitter to share her memories of Goodman.

"I'm so sad about Len," The Traitors presenter wrote.

"He was one of a kind, a brilliant and kind man. Full of twinkle, warmth and wit. Sending all love to his family and friends. X"

Fellow Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood shared a picture of the judging panel to his Instagram, writing a tribute to Goodman.

"I've just woken up to the sad news that my gorgeous colleague and dear friend Len Goodman has passed away," he wrote.

"My heart and love go out to his lovely wife Sue and family. Len 'goody' Goodman is what I called him and 'it's a ten from Len and seveeeeern' will live with me forever. Rest in peace Len."

Former Strictly judge Bruno Tonioli also shared his tribute on the platform, posting a picture of himself and Goodman smiling and hugging.

"Heartbroken my dear friend and partner for 19 years, the one and only ballroom legend #lengoodman passed away," he wrote.

"I will treasure the memory of our incredible adventures and hundreds of shows we did together," he added.

A statement from Goodman's spokesperson confirmed the news this morning (April 24).

"It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78," it read. "A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him."
