Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood weighs in on Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton romance rumours
Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood has addressed those Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton romance rumours.
The TV judge has given his seal of approval to the rumoured relationship between the pair – which has yet to be confirmed by either star – following claims from Stacey's ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott that the Strictly 2018 winners are now an item.
But, if they are, Craig is all for it.
"I hope they live happily ever after," he told Australia's TV Week, admitting that he was "surprised" by the news.
"It will be another Strictly success story. I never call it the Strictly curse, I call it the Strictly blessing. People need to fall in love."
While Stacey has yet to confirm any romance with Kevin, she did respond to her ex-boyfriend's comments with a cryptic tweet earlier this month.
"Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story," she said.
"I haven't got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I've read on here.
"Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward."
Kevin has also recently alluded to a "massive upheaval" in his personal life.
He told The Mirror: "In the last couple of years I've seen massive upheaval in my personal life and it hasn't always been easy.
"There have been a lot of things thrown at me. At times I've struggled. And the times I've struggled and I was in a bit of a rut I didn’t know what to do. It gets difficult and I'm not the best at dealing with it."
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One this autumn.
