Strictly Come Dancing contestant Helen Skelton has shared a touching throwback to her time on the show with professional dancer Gorka Márquez, as she reveals how much she is enjoying the new series.

Helen appeared in the 2022 series, finishing as a runner-up alongside Fleur East & Vito Coppola and Molly Rainford & Carlos Gu. The winners were Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał.

Helen gave many memorable performances during her time on the show, including a dance to Mein Herr from Cabaret. Now, she has taken to Instagram to reflect on her time on the show as she is "living vicariously" through this year's contestants.

Helen posted a photo of her and Gorka in their Mein Herr get-up, alongside a group photo of the 2022 contestants.

"Good times... loving this year's Strictly... congratulations all and thanks for bringing so much joy to my living room!!" Helen wrote.

She continued: "Living vicariously through the contestants and obviously reminiscing about good times with good people... The most nerve-wracking chapter of my book: In My Stride, to write was reliving Strictly, it’s mad to think how much difference a dance and a year can make."

Recently, it was announced that Helen will be the face of a new documentary series that will explore the Lake District. Lost and Found in the Lakes will follow Helen and a team of experts searching for missing items across the World Heritage Site.
