Strictly Come Dancing stars Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova have shared a loved-up "date night" selfie from their trip to Slovenia.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Kai shared the black-and-white snap of himself and Nadiya, tagging the location as the Slovenian capital Ljubljana.

"Date night," he captioned the image, alongside a clip from Michael Bublé's cover of the Eric Clapton song 'Wonderful Tonight'.

The pair began dating in May 2022, just months after Kai joined the hit BBC One series as a professional dancer. Kai appeared on the most recent series alongside broadcaster Angela Rippon, while Nadiya — who has been part of the show since 2017 — did not receive a celebrity partner for the 2023 season.

Outside of Strictly, the couple are set to embark on a tour of the UK across 2024 with their upcoming dance show 'Nadiya & Kai: Behind The Magic' — which kicks off in June and includes stops in cities such as Edinburgh, York, Manchester, London and Southhampton.

Teasing the tour in a video clip on Instagram, the pair gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the production that goes into the shows and promised an "epic" show.

Join us for our brand new show 'Behind the Magic', giving our fans a rare glimpse behind the curtain to see how the magic comes together!" they added in the caption.

Meanwhile, Kai has also been announced another new role, joining the British DanceSport Association (BDSA) as a board member and ambassador.

"I am excited to join this new and ambitious organisation and play my part in contributing to a positive change in the dance community," he said of the news in an official statement.

"DanceSport already makes such a great impact on so many people's lives, encouraging them to try our fantastic sport. Dance is a passion for me, it gives me so much enjoyment and I want to help others experience the same feeling from it."

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
