Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has revealed what she will miss about celebrity partner Eddie Kadi following their exit from the show.

The pair became the fourth couple to leave the show after losing out to Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima in Sunday’s dance-off, and appeared opposite Fleur East on It Takes Two to discuss their elimination.

“I’ll miss the flat white he [Eddie] brings me every morning,” joked Karen, before she continued: “He’s like a brother to me - we’ve gotten to know each other so well and we’re going out for drinks tomorrow night.”

“I thought she [Karen] was going to call me at half six in the morning and go ‘don’t forget your shoes’” added Eddie. “But seriously I feel happy - people have showed us so much love. I’ve been sent videos and messages, and it’s made me feel this is what it’s all about.”

“It felt like home. No need for any Google Maps - we’ve been here before,” he said about their second consecutive dance off. “Karen does exactly the same thing, she looked at me and went “let’s dance again.’ This is Strictly - you may be at the top but also at the bottom.”

The pair’s final dance was the formidable Samba, with their 24 points placing them at the bottom of the leaderboard, and Eddie admitted that he found it difficult to pick up the technique compared to other Latin dances.

“My hips are somewhere still around the M11. There is a police search for my hips - one’s on the M60 and the other is on the A406,” he joked, before discussing his tumultuous scoring chart across the series.

“This looks like my dad going through my exam results,” he quipped, before doing an impression of his father. “‘First week you were on 22, then you fell down to 21. Then God did his work with 34, then you missed two classes and now you’re on 24; Eddie read your books.’ This is traumatic for me.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
