Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse chose the dazzling tranquility of the Maldives to renew her wedding vows this week.

Married to Ukrainian fellow dancer Evgenij Voznyuk since 2017, the pair were pictured on a rose-speckled beach in their ceremonial gear before cutting a special butterfly cake just before the sun went down.

An Instagram caption from the German version of Strictly, Let's Dance – where she is a judge – read: "Love is in the air [heart emoji] Motsi Mabuse has said yes to her husband Evgenij Voznyuk a second time in the Maldives.

"This is how the two sealed their great love and we congratulate them from the bottom of our hearts."

Last year, Motsi opened about her personal link with Ukraine through her husband amid the Russian invasion last year, confirming at the time that she had spoken to her mother-in-law in the war-torn country.

"It's heartbreaking hearing my mother in law crying this morning, afraid and there absolutely nothing we can do! Just Sad honestly," she said at the time.

She also tweeted the country's flag and wrote: "Prayers for the Ukraine and the World!!!"

The star also spoke last year about how Strictly feels "different" without her sister Oti as part of the line-up.

"I just feel like she is missing for me because I always used to look at her, but in some sort of way the family is more relaxed," she said on The Graham Norton Show. "My mother was very stressed out when we were both in the show and now she doesn't care, she is very relaxed."

In case you needed a new read, Mabuse's autobiography Finding My Own Rhythm is now on sale.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
