Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova has confirmed that one of the most iconic group dances from last series will be performed on this month’s live arena tour.

In a recent Q&A on her Instagram stories, the professional dancer was asked: "Which dance are you most looking forward to performing this tour?"

She responded with a Barbie GIF alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of her dressed in the appropriate costume, letting fans know that they will be taking the pro dance inspired by the 2023 movie on the road.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood, who also directs the Strictly tour, previously dished on the Barbie number making its return during an appearance on Lorraine earlier this month.

"No expense is spared on this particular live tour. We’ve got huge sets and fantastic costumes… and I’ll let you into a secret, we’re actually going to do the Barbie number which I cannot wait to do," he said.

The number, a homage to the 2023 blockbuster, was a huge hit when it was performed by the cast of professionals during movie week last series.

Dianne Buswell stepped into the shoes of Margot Robbie’s Barbie and Gorka Márquez assumed the role of Ryan Gosling’s Ken, while the other professionals played various other Barbies and Kens – with Neil Jones as Allan!

The Strictly cast will be performing arenas across the UK during January and February, with the tour kicking off this Friday (January 19) in Birmingham, and ending in a five show run at London’s The O2 from February 9-11.

Last year’s champion Ellie Leach will be appearing on the tour alongside her fellow finalists Layton Williams and Bobby Brazier.

Bobby recently revealed the dances he and his pro-partner Dianne will be performing on the tour, sharing they'll be dancing the Samba and the Viennese Waltz.

Joining the trio on the road are contestants Angela Scanlon, Annabel Croft, Angela Rippon and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

The seven celebrities will be performing some of their favourite routines from the series, and while they will be scored by the judges, it’s the audience who decides which couple ‘wins’ each show.

While most will continue dancing with their original Strictly partners, Annabel will partner Graziano Di Prima and Krishnan will dance with 2022 winner Jowita Przystał – with Johannes Radebe and Lauren Oakley not taking part in the tour.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
