Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones has spoken about how he intends to spend his first Christmas as a father.

The dancer became a dad earlier this year when he and fiancé Chyna Mills welcomed their daughter Havana in October.

Speaking to OK!, Neil said: "I'm so looking forward to Christmas as a dad — it'll be different, but I love it. I've always been family-oriented, so I'll really enjoy it."

"Our plans for Christmas aren't sorted yet. Normally, I go abroad because my thing is to finish Strictly and then go on the tour in the new year — so if I don't go away in between, I don’t have time," he continued.

"Chyna and I haven't decided where we'll go, but I think it's the best time to take Havana away when she's this small. They say to start them young!"

Neil added that "there are quite a few projects" he has lined up for the New Year, but the baby is the priority for now.

"We had less time this year, as we were focused on the pregnancy and Havana. Chyna has some projects coming up, too, but, for us, it's mainly about watching Havana grow. I want to try to be there as much as I can."

Neil has been on Strictly since 2016 but has only competed in two series of the competition. Despite that, he's more than content being a "cheerleader" for the show.

"Every year I say, 'As long as I'm still enjoying Strictly and they still want me, then I'm happy to keep doing it, with or without a partner'," he said.

Tickets for Strictly's 2024 live arena tour are available now.
