Strictly's Stacey Dooley celebrates Kevin Clifton's first birthday since becoming a dad

Strictly Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley has celebrated her partner Kevin Clifton's first birthday since becoming a dad.

The couple welcomed a daughter named Minnie back in January after meeting during the 2018 series of Strictly, which they later won.

Taking to Instagram to mark Kevin's first birthday since the birth of their daughter, Stacey shared a sweet picture of the professional dancer holding Minnie surrounded by foil balloons. "Celebrating Daddy last night," Stacey captioned the post.

As well as the cute snap of Kevin holding baby Minnie, Stacey shared a birthday post dedicated to her partner, who she called the "LOML" [love of my life].

"Main character energy ALWAYS," she wrote alongside a photo of Kevin. "We are the luckiest, truly. Mummy and Queen Mins."

Stacey recently spoke about motherhood and the prospect of marriage to her long-term partner, saying she has a "different love" for Kevin now that they're parents.

"Marriage has never been massively important to me. Also, it's well-documented that Kev's done it a couple of times before," she said, referencing Kevin's previous marriages.

"So, you do have to bear that in mind, coming down the aisle like, 'Hello everyone, I know what you're all thinking'. It's just never been something I've dreamt about," Stacey said.

"I don't subscribe to the idea that you offer more stability if you're married because we know loads of marriages end in divorce. But Kev, I don't want to sound too gushing or soppy, but I couldn't have done this without Kev. I couldn't have done this with anyone else."

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
