Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has admitted she's currently "in bits" amidst husband Vernon Kay's "Ultramarathon" challenge.

The TV presenter shared a message of support to Vernon on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (October 15), who is running 150 miles to raise funds for BBC's Children in Need.

Thanking fans for their kind messages during the challenge, Daly revealed her nervousness for her husband of 17 years.

"Hi, you might have heard that Vernon is doing an ultra-ultra marathon for Children in Need which is basically 150 miles in 4 days," her message began.

"He’s on day 2, he’s doing 40 miles today and I just want to say thank you so much for your support, it honestly means so much because he needs it to keep him going."

Sharing an update on how Vernon was coping, Tess revealed: "He didn’t sleep much last night, his knee is hurting, he’s never run more than 8 miles before so this is epic!"
