STRIDING OUT: Middle-age runners embrace challenge in 5K fundraiser

When it came to speedy legs, the age categories of 40-49 boasted their fair share during last week’s Bartlesville Miles for Mammograms 5K run.

More than 475 runners crowded the course. The result for the age groups up to age 39 have already appeared.

In the 40-49 group, Samuel Stose (male, 45-49) blistered the course with a time of 20:39, placing him fourth overall.

The second-fastest runner in the age group, Peter Deibert, also turned in a sparkling time (21:32).

Turning in the top female time in this age area was Arica Haywood (45-49) at 25:22.
