Strikes Destroy Apartment Building in Kyiv's Obolon Neighborhood

At least one person was killed when an apartment building in Kyiv’s Obolon neighborhood was partially destroyed in Russian shelling on Monday, March 14, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) said.

SES said firefighters responded to a fire that engulfed several floors of the building on Monday and found evidence of an artillery shell. One person was killed, three people were hospitalized, and nine people were treated for injuries on-site, SES said.

Current Time TV reported 63 people were evacuated from the building.

Strikes on Kyiv hit several residential areas on Monday, including apartment buildings in the Svyatoshyns’kyi district and Podil’s’kyi district, and the building in Obolon.
