String lights with the image of Volodymyr Zelenskyy have been noticed on the Christmas tree in the centre of Tver, Russia.

Details: The media publish photos of the string lights with images of "enemies of Russia".

Except for Zelenskyy, there are photos of US President Joe Biden, French leader Emmanuel Macron, and singers Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Galkin and Laima Vaikule.

Each figure reportedly has dotted lines around the edges and the inscription "Tear me something".

Why this is important: The Kremlin has instructed the oblasts to use propaganda to support the war during New Year's celebrations. Local authorities are trying to spread propaganda cliches about Ukraine, the West and the occupation war through games and entertainment.

Previously: The Kremlin ordered local authorities of the Russian Federation on how to celebrate the New Year, advising them to "show restraint in spending" but not to forget about "the soldiers’ heroism" in Ukraine.
