Strong Winds Down Trees on Sacramento University Campus

Groundskeepers and tree crews worked to clean storm damage at Sacramento State University in California on Monday, January 9, after an intense storm swept through the area.

Video released by Sacramento State shows downed trees and debris on the campus. The school said that despite high wind and heavy rain, university buildings suffered no major damage and no one on campus was injured.

The National Weather Service said a line of strong thunderstorms with very heavy rain, small hail, and strong winds would move through the Sacramento and Stockton areas in the early hours of Tuesday and warned that roadway flooding was likely.
