Strong Winds Send Debris Flying in Florida Panhandle

Severe thunderstorms were forecast to move across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend on Friday, March 18, bringing a potential for tornadoes, hail, flooding, and strong winds, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Local officials said widespread damage was seen during Friday’s storms.

Footage filmed by meteorology student Riley Winch shows debris flying through the air in Panama City.
