Jeremy Lin Foundation and TAAF to award $1.5 million in grants to AAPI groups

A decade after uniting basketball fans across the country, the legacy of Linsanity lives on through a collaboration between the Jeremy Lin Foundation and The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) that seeks to empower Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth.
The Stronger Together Collaborative will award a total of $1.5 million in grants from TAAF and other partners across three years to organizations that were identified through an extensive series of interviews conducted by the Jeremy Lin Foundation with local leaders and groups.
Each of the nine organizations receiving grants are committed to bringing together the diverse range of ethnic groups within the AAPI community, as well as establishing cross-racial solidarity.
“In a time when society can feel so divided, the need to work together and learn how to take on each others' burdens becomes so crucial,” Lin said. “The Stronger Together grantees have taught me and the Jeremy Lin Foundation team so much about what it looks like to work together for our communities, both within the AAPI community and with communities outside of our own.”

The inaugural cohort of the Stronger Together collaboration consists of Adhikaar, Apex for Youth, CAAAV (Committee Against Anti-Asian Violence), CACF ASAP (Asian Student Advocacy Project), CYI (Chinatown Youth Initiative), DRUM (Desis Rising Up and Moving), Mekong NYC, MinKwon Center for Community Action and SAYA (South Asian Youth Action).
