Structure lost in fire on Putzen Lane in Galax

GALAX, Va. (WFXR)– The Galax Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Putzen Lane on Friday, Feb. 23.

According to the fire department, crews were dispatched to the 300 block of Putzen Lane in Woodlawn at 8:25 p.m. on a report of a structure fire. Units on the scene found a structure fully involved in flames.

Crews quickly started to work on controlling the fire, as three lines were pulled and a tanker shuttle provided a water supply.

The fire department says crews were on scene for an hour to extinguish the fire. However, the structure was a total loss.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
