Student found with knife at elementary school in Charles County

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A student at Barnhart Elementary School was found with a butterfly knife on Jan. 3.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said the student claimed they found the knife and brought it to school to show their friends.

Police: Suspect who robbed Annandale store quickly arrested

Under Maryland state law, the student will not be charged due to their age. The student is, however, facing disciplinary consequences from the Charles County Public Schools.
