Students, adults can explore careers May 12 in Hudson during Careers of Today & Tomorrow

HUDSON — Local students and job seekers will have access to hands-on, interactive demonstrations in occupations engaging their interest on May 12 in Hudson during Careers of Today & Tomorrow.

“CT2” will be hosted by Michigan Works Southeast and the Southern Michigan Center for Science & Industry. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the SMCSI, 550 E. Main St., Hudson, a news release said.

Companies represented include Alro, Brio Living Services, Chemical MFG Consortium, Dan’s Excavating Inc., Elara Caring, GSHA Quality Services, Henry Ford Health Systems, Hi-Lex Controls Inc., Hillsdale Hospital, Jackson College, LeMatic, MI STEM Forward, Operating Engineers Local 324, Production Saw and Machine, Rima Manufacturing Co., Toyoda Gosei Fluid Systems, Wacker Chemical Corp., Washtenaw Community College, and WILX.

The morning session is exclusively for high school students, especially those who are undecided about their career plans after graduation this spring. The afternoon session is open to anyone looking for a new career. It is open to the public.

Registration for 11th and 12th grade students and adult job seekers is still open. Attendees and exhibitors must register at www.mwse.org/ct2/.

The current list of participating high schools includes Hudson, Morenci, Lenawee Intermediate School District, Waldron, Concord, Springport, Northwest Community Schools and Milan.
