Students from Belleville, Freeburg and other high schools win Art on the Square awards

At Belleville’s annual fine arts show Art on the Square, patrons, artists and local leaders evaluated and awarded the artwork of high school students from Belleville, Freeburg, Edwardsville, Breese, Centralia, Marion and Bluford.

Here are the high school winners of Art on the Square awards:

Best of Show ($500) — Meredith May of Centralia High School for “Sticky Situation,” graphite.

Awards of Excellence ($200) —
