Students Fill Backpacks For Homeless

- And students are also embracing service today. Dozens of them came together to fill up 160 backpacks for the homeless. This is at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Fifth to eighth graders helped another student, 17-year-old Alexa Rhodes. She started the project last year right before the pandemic hit. These packs are filled with donated items through Rhodes' nonprofit, called Helping The Homeless Backpacks. They'll be dropped off at the Sunday breakfast rescue mission next week.
