Students swarm into bay to take part in 2023 Cool Schools Plunge

Nearly 6,000 Maryland school students took part Thursday in the Cool Schools Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland. Those students ran toward the chilly Chesapeake Bay at noon to raise money for the cause. "They've raised over $600,000. Look into today's world. We need some good energy, and it's on display here today," said Jim Schmutz, President and CEO of Special Olympics MD.
