A Stunning Private Barn Wedding with Colorful Accents
Who wouldn’t want a little good luck on their wedding day, huh!? Well, this adorable couple was showered with it as they tied the knot at the Ashlwan Estate in Colorado. We’re beginning to really love rainy wedding days… they’re an excuse to get cuddly and truly make for the most romantic photos EVER. This gorgeous wedding planned by Calluna Events and photographed by James & Schulze is proof that a few drops on your wedding day is nothing to fear - if anything, it’s a gift!
From Calluna Events... Anna + Bryan were a fantastic couple that were so focused on creating a special experience for their guests. The venue (Ashlawn Estate) is owned by Bryan's boss, and this was the inaugural on the property! Stunning views of the flatiron and haystack mountain left guests in awe, and despite the rain, the day turned out beautifully.
Anna was not afraid of color and Fawns Leap Flowers created the most stunning bloom and palette for the wedding. There were unique elements throughout which included a signature cocktail with sorbet in it, an amazing bluegrass for cocktail hour, a seating and bar chart made of canvas, and polo playing on the ceremony site the morning of!
The property is absolutely spectacular and it was an amazing experience planning the first wedding ever! The ceremony begun with the brides grand entrance through the barn doors, though it continued to drizzle, the bride was nothing but smiles. The ceremony, officiated by childhood pastors, was meaningful and sacred and tears were flowing!
Guests cocktailed on the lawn while munching on delicious bites from Blackbelly... (house made blackbelly sausage, pickled mustard seed shrimp ceviche on corn chip, avocado, house made ricotta & preserves on crostini, edible flower garnish... YUM) and were eventually invited into the tent for a family style meal and an epic dance party! Did I mention the full moon rose over haystack mountain and lit up the sky? Guests danced the night away and enjoyed the perfect Colorado wedding.
