VSCO girls are wearing them all over TikTok; designer Maryam Nassir Zadeh sent scrunchie scarves down the runway during NYFW; and we’ve spotted them on all of our favorite celebrities, including Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, and Selena Gomez. Even Lizzo wore a scrunchie bedazzled with 5,000 crystals to the VMAS. You could easily hop on Amazon or Etsy, type in “scrunchies,” and get plenty of results, but we’re here to offer you an alternative: a scrunchie selected just for you, based on your astrological sign.

Not only will the scrunchies featured below make you look good, they’re also bound to make you *feel* good because they’re specifically suited to the traits associated with your astrological sign. Whether you like to stand out or prefer more basic, everyday looks, read on to find which scrunchie you should wear according to your zodiac sign.
We enlisted the help of astrologist Alice Bell, who began her career as an intern at British Vogue and Women’s Wear Daily before working in the fashion department at Vogue. Now Bell works as a full-time astrologist, writes monthly horoscopes for British Vogue, and spends her days doing birth-chart readings for clients and astrology readings at special events. Here we speak with the astrologist about the best scrunchies for each sign.

Aries
March 21–April 19
“Aries don’t like to settle into the background,” says astrologist Alice Bell, also known as @stalkalice. “They always want to be noticed.” She recommends that Aries opt for an activewear scrunchie, or a bright color like red or orange.
Taurus
April 20–May 20
Bell says, “Tauruses are not as extra, but they appreciate expensive stuff and like to be surrounded by nice things.” They’re also all about the five senses and prefer stuff that feels good to touch. She recommends they go for velvet or silk scrunchies. Because Taurus is an earth sign, they’re not into super loud colors and usually prefer more neutral, muted tones such as a pale pink or gray.
Gemini
May 21–June 20
“Geminis are the most trendy of the signs,” says Bell. They should go for a scrunchie with a fun print or “something that’s very of-the-moment.” These air signs also change opinions often and are constantly evolving their tastes. To support this ever-changing nature, Bell recommends a bright floral-print or a polka-dotted scrunchie.
Cancer
June 21–July 22
According to Bell, “Cancer is the home-oriented sign.” They're more about comfort and things that feel familiar. They are nostalgic and spend a lot of time thinking about the past, and will opt for scrunchies that are more 1990s or grunge. Color-wise, think gray, blue, and off-white.
Leo
July 23–August 22
Leos want to be noticed. “They're more likely to wear something that's glittery, brightly colored, or has a really fun print,” says Bell. When it comes to fun prints, we suggest trying leopard.
Virgo
August 23–September 22
“For Virgos, everything has to serve a purpose,” says Bell. For scrunchies, think neutrals, like a gray, tan, or off-white, and nothing extra; just something that serves a function and keeps hair up.
Libra
September 23–October 22
“Libra is the sign of partnership and love,” says Bell. “They’re very involved in the arts and fashion.” They’re also inspired by travels and will go for something multicolored, but not super bright, like Leos or Aries; just something artistic in pinks and softer florals.
Scorpio
October 23–November 21
“Scorpios are more emotionally intense, and they’re always associated with the color black,” according to Bell. They will go for a black scrunchie or a leather scrunchie.
Sagittarius
November 22–December 21
As the world travelers of the zodiac, our Sag friends will go for scrunchies with some type of “foreign” element or embroidery, and something colorful.
Capricorn
December 22–January 19
Taste-wise, Caps are similar to Virgos, so they care more about what's necessary and less about wanting to stand out. “They’re more no-nonsense,” says Bell. They’ll make even a basic scrunchie look good, no matter what they wear.
Aquarius
January 20–February 18
Aquarius is “the weirdo of the zodiac,” according to Bell. “They don't want to do what everybody else is doing, and anything goes with them,” she adds. Think experimental, loud, crazy colors and patterns.
Pisces
February 19–March 20
Pisces are the most mystical of the zodiac. “They're dreamers, and they're often in their own little world,” Bell says. For the ideal Pisces scrunchie, she recommends something mystical or sparkly, and colors like purple and turquoise.
