Have a sub, support Case at opening of new Jersey Mike's in Swansea today

SWANSEA — Jersey Mike's Subs are popping up all over Greater Fall River.

The quickly growing sub stop — with locations in Fall River's SouthCoast Marketplace and on Route 6 in Somerset, as well as Dartmouth and Seekonk — is expanding with a new shop at 581 G.A.R. Highway.

Jersey's Mike's launches its Swansea location, in a Route 6 plaza anchored by Target, on Wednesday, Dec. 7, and they are marking the grand opening occasion by giving back to their new community.

Drop in Wednesday, Dec. 7, through Sunday, Dec. 11, get a taste of the "Jersey Mike's experience," while supporting local students with a fundraiser for Joseph Case High School.

“We are so excited to be opening our shop in Swansea,” said franchise owner Brian O’Loughlin in a press release. “We hope that our partnership with Joseph Case High School is only the beginning of a great relationship and cannot wait to open our doors. We feel lucky to be opening in such a great town.”

Present a special fundraising coupon — distributed through a grassroots effort prior to opening — along with a $3 donation to Case High School, and get a free sub. The digital version of the coupon will also be accepted.

Kicking things off with a school benefit falls in line with the sub chain’s long-standing commitment to charity. "Making a sub sandwich and making a difference can be one and the same," according to Jersey Mike’s announcement.

Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $90 million for local charities.

Using the same recipe it started with in 1956, Jersey Mike’s Subs has now expanded to more than 2,300 locations nationwide.

The new Swansea spot is located just minutes down the road from another Jersey Mike's location in Somerset, in the Fairfield Common plaza shared with Pancheros and Starbucks, which opened this past spring.
