We know who you're thinking about. Selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft. Quarterback.

But there's no way to know if Sam Ehlinger will be the next Tom Bra ... ndstater. Or Drew Henson. Or Curtis Painter.

OK, let's get this out of the way now: We're not ‒ repeating, not (can you double bold a word?) ‒ saying Ehlinger will be the next Tom Brady.

However ...

Both were 6th-round NFL Draft picks. And both were named the starting quarterback for their respective teams in their second season. Both will even make their debuts in a game involving the Colts.

OK, with that out of the way, here's the recent history of how 6th-round picks have fared in the NFL.

Doyel:Why this Colts quarterback move was a long time coming

Derek Anderson

He played 13 years overall after being picked in 2005, and he made the Pro Bowl in his second season with the Cleveland Browns. Career: 54.3% completions, 10,878 yards, 60 touchdowns, 64 interceptions.

Tom Brady

The GOAT, despite his issues this season. He became the New England Patriots starter following an injury to Drew Bledsoe in 2001. At the moment, he's at 86,462 career passing yards, 632 TDs, and all those Super Bowl titles.

Marc Bulger

He played eight seasons for the Rams after being picked 31 places earlier than Brady in 2000. He twice made the Pro Bowl. Career: 62.1% completions, 22,814 yards, 122 TDs, 93 INTs.

Matt Hasselbeck

Picked in 1998, he played 17 seasons, he made three Pro Bowls. He played his final three seasons (2013-15) as a Colts backup, starting eight games and appearing in 15. Career: 60.5% completions, 36,638 yards, 212 TDs, 153 INTs.

Mark Rypien

The 1986 draft pick played for 10 years before retiring. But three years later, in 2001, he joined the Colts and appeared in four games. Career: 56.1% completions, 18,473 yards, 115 TDs, 88 INTs, two Pro Bowls.

Tyrod Taylor

Drafted in 2011, he is with his sixth team, the New York Giants. He made the 2015 Pro Bowl. Career: 61.3% completions, 10,747 yards, 59 TDs, 26 INTs.
