Suffolk Public Schools to host 15th Technical Education Professional Student Conference

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Public Schools will introduce 9th-grade students to its career-related programs, during a professional student conference scheduled for Feb. 6.

The 15th annual Career and Technical Education Professional Student Conference is open to high school freshman interested in participating in career programs offered within the schools.

The conference will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront, located at 100 East Constance Road.

According to a Suffolk Public Schools official, the College and Career Academy at Pruden (CCAP) will provide students training in the Cosmetology and Master Barber, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Technician, and Medical Assistant career fields.
