“The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” is one popular Disney show that will likely be without one of its original stars if it’s ever rebooted.

During an interview on Tuesday with Drew Barrymore on her daytime talk show, Cole Sprouse chatted about the barrage of reboots and explained why he’s hesitant to revive “The Suite Life.”

“Reboots are a tricky thing,” the 28-year-old “Riverdale” actor admitted. “The original shows when they become successful sit within this little golden plate of nostalgia and when you modernize it and go back to it, it has the potential to really disenfranchise the original fanbase.”

“It’s a very, very touchy thing,” Sprouse furthered. “I am asked all the time if Dylan and I are going to do a ‘Suite Life’ reboot and I go, ‘No, absolutely not.’”

Created by Danny Kallis and Jim Geoghan, “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” — which starred Cole and his twin brother Dylan Sprouse as the Martin twins living in Boston’s Tipton Hotel — ran for three seasons between 2005 and 2008, earning three Emmy nominations. The sitcom was revived for “The Suite Life on Deck” spinoff, which ran for three seasons between 2008 to 2011.
