Lex Scott Davis has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming Suits spin-off series, Suits: L.A.

According to TVLine, the actress will play Erica Rollins, who is described as a "savvy and strong-willed rising star at the firm who is shrewd enough to test the loyalty of her associates, only to admire some of them for not having any".

She joins previously announced cast member Stephen Amell (Arrow), who takes on the role of former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black.

Davis' acting credits include The L Word: Generation Q, The First Purge and Netflix's Florida Man, while she's also set to star alongside John Cena and Zac Efron in Prime Video's upcoming comedy Ricky Stanicky.

Suits L.A. will centre on Amell's character Ted, who moved to Los Angeles to build his own law firm with old friend Stuart Lane (played by The Walking Dead's Josh McDermitt).

The official synopsis reads: "His firm is at a crisis point, and, in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.

"Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can't help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved."

Suits creator Aaron Korsh will return to write the script alongside original producers Doug Liman, Dave Bartis and Gene Klein. Filming is currently scheduled to take place in Vancouver in March.

Suits: L.A. does not yet have an air date from NBC.
