CAPE NEDDICK, Maine — The Reverend Todd R. FitzGerald, former chaplain at the renowned St. Stephens Episcopal School in Austin, Texas will be the celebrant and preacher at the historic St Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church at both the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday services for the next four weeks. Services are held in the 125 year old historic church founded in 1897 atop Christian Hill. The stone church is located at 535 Shore Road in Cape Neddick and just south of Ogunquit. All are openly welcomed.

Fr Todd received his B.A. in English in 1991 from Texas A & M and Master of Divinity in 1998 from Seabury Western Episcopal Seminary, Evanston, Illinois. He served for nearly a decade as the chaplain at St Stephens during which he was given the prestigious Pat Hazel Award for his outreach among the homeless in Austin. Fr. FitzGerald recently accepted as rector (priest in charge) of St. John’s Episcopal in West Hartford, Conn.

He is joined by his wife, Amy, and daughters, Stella and Florine and will reside in the newly restored Marmion House which serves as the rectory of St. Peter’s. Situated along the Atlantic Ocean it provides beauty and peace to all who visit after services.

This is the 13th year the FitzGeralds have served the coastal community at St Peter’s. The local church has a recognized professional choir singing each Sunday and the parish distributes funds twice a year to various agencies in York County to assist those in need.
