As summer continues and gas prices remain high in the Greater Cincinnati area, Metro is providing a cost-effective alternative.

In order to provide the community with an affordable and convenient alternative to driving, Metro and Access paratransit are offering free trips on Saturdays and Sundays between July 4 and Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4.

In addition to the fare-free weekends, Metro's Reinventing Metro plan is providing the community with an opportunity to try out new weekend services.

Fare-free weekends are part of Metro's Reinventing Metro initiative, which allows the community to experience the new weekend service improvements such as:

  • Service on seven routes, including two new crosstown routes, available 24-hours.

  • New weekend service has been introduced on several routes, as well as increased frequency and hours of service on most weekend routes.

  • New buses now include free Wi-Fi and charging ports at each seat, and are $2 a trip or $4 for an unlimited day pass.
