Parks, wineries, historic sites, amphitheaters and a country club are among the places where Stark County residents can enjoy live music this summer.

There's variety, too. Orchestra music, tribute bands, pop rock, blues, honky-tonk, Americana, Zydeco and other genres. Some events are established. Others are brand new. Here are six places to go and enjoy music outdoors this summer in the Canton area.

1. Glenfest

Three Northeast Ohio-based bands − Hey Monea, The Shootouts and Yankee Bravo − will highlight Glenfest on June 24 at Glenmoor Country Club in Jackson Township.

Also performing will be Mo' Mojo and Wallace Coleman, an acclaimed blues harmonica player who was in the band of late Delta blues guitarist Robert Lockwood Jr.

The new outdoor event is 4 to 9 p.m. and open to the public. General admission tickets cost $35. VIP tickets are an additional $15 for an indoor after-party featuring Yankee Bravo, a Canton area-based Americana, roots and folk band. The after-party also includes complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.

Hey Monea features brothers Dan and Nate Monea. The pop rock band has attracted more than 100,000 Facebook followers, including for their year-long cover song project in 2022.

Ryan Humbert is shown performing with The Shootouts in February at the Grand Ole Opry. The honky-tonk band is among the performers at the new Glenfest on June 24 at Glenmoor Country Club in Jackson Township.

The Shootouts continue to find success in the honky-tonk, western swing and vintage country music scene. The band is scheduled to play the Grand Ole Opry a second time on July 23.

Mo' Mojo plays Zydeco, a style of American music originally from southern Louisiana featuring elements of blues and rhythm and blues, infusing it with Americana, Cajun, reggae, rock, funk, and African and Latin rhythms.
