Summerfest 2019 lineup: The Lonely Island, Brandi Carlile and 131 other headliners
Summerfest, the world's largest and most musically diverse festival, has booked R&B legend Chaka Khan, Andy Samberg's comedy pop trio the Lonely Island, recent Grammy showstopper Brandi Carlile, critical fave Courtney Barnett, and "Tonight Show" hip-hop crew the Roots for 2019.
That, and more than 125 other headliners performing across 11 days.
Returning for its 52nd year to the Milwaukee lakefront, Summerfest 2019 also features acclaimed alternative rock band the National, rapper (and recent "Masked Singer" winner) T-Pain, seminal punk group X, party rocker Andrew W.K., EDM A-lister Steve Aoki, country star Lauren Alaina, singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Chicago, fast-rising rapper and singer A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and infectious singer and rapper Lizzo .
A couple of Wisconsin acts will be headlining their home state festival this year, including Christian hard-rock band Skillet, country artist Nora Collins, veteran rock band R&B Cadets and Milwaukee-born synthpop group GGOOLLDD. And Dashboard Confessional, featuring longtime Milwaukee-based bassist Scott Schoenbeck, is on the bill.
The headliners announced Tuesday are performing on Summerfest's eight primary grounds stages from June 26 to 30 and July 2 to 7.

Summerfest previously announced 10 of the 11 shows for its largest venue, the 23,000-capacity American Family Insurance Amphitheater, which is undergoing phase one of a two-year, $50 million redesign.
Those 2019 amphitheater shows are:
Thomas Rhett with Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson, June 26
The Outlaw Music Festival, led by Willie Nelson, June 27
Jason Aldean with Kane Brown and Carly Pearce, June 28
Bon Iver with Lord Huron and Julien Baker, June 29
Zac Brown Band, June 30
Lionel Richie with Michael McDonald, July 2
Jennifer Lopez July 3
The Killers with Death Cab for Cutie, July 5
Billie Eilish with Finneas, July 6
Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Schoolboy Q, July 7.
Summerfest had an Ozzy Osbourne and Megadeth amphitheater show for July 4, but that was rescheduled last week for July 1, 2020, after Osborne fell at home and injured himself while recovering from pneumonia, forcing the postponement of all of his shows in 2019.

Ticket prices vary for the Summerfest amphitheater shows, but they include general admission on the dates of an applicable concert. Tickets are available for all announced amphitheater shows except Lil Wayne (on sale 10 a.m. Friday) and Eilish (on sale noon Saturday).
Summerfest general admission tickets are available now at summerfest.com, priced between $15 (for weekday admission between noon and 4 p.m.) and $23 for all other days and times. Summerfest also typically offers several promotional deals that include free or discounted admission; those deals have yet to be announced for 2019.
Multi-day general-admission passes are available on the Summerfest site as well, for $57 for three days, or $110 for 11 days, for a limited time.
General-admission passes and tickets do not include access to amphitheater shows.
Headliner set times and stage locations are expected to be announced throughout the month. Each May, Summerfest unveils the complete schedule, featuring about 800 acts.
