Summer's (almost) here: Where to get ice cream in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam
Memorial Day being the unofficial kick-off to summer means it's unofficially prime ice cream season. Along with the oldies but goodies — we're looking at you, King Kone! — there are a bunch of new places opening soon. Look for MJay's Ice Cream Bar, premiering June 1 at Empire Bagels Cortlandt Manor; Constantino's, coming to Hartsdale in June; and a new Mamaroneck location for Hastings-based Penny Lick, which should also open in June.
Adding to the lineup: Venchi, with Italian gelato, opening this fall at The Westchester in White Plains.
