  1. Mayor Adams took an upbeat tone on Tuesday when he presented his final city budget proposal at Flatbush, Brooklyn's historic Kings Theater. The Mayor's nearly $100 billion budget, one of the largest in NYC history, increases funding to the police department, as well as to increasing beds in the city's shelter system. 2. Speaking of crime, members of East New York's 'Bamalife' gang were charged on multiple accounts of wreaking havoc in their own and neighboring communities. Recent altercations they've committed include allegedly opening fire and terrorizing guests at a 6-year-old's birthday party, and a mass-shooting in Bed-Stuy that injured eight people. (New York City Patch)

  3. In a last minute effort, New York Governor Kathy Hochul is urging state lawmakers to pass a bill that would take her former running mate Brian Benjamin's name off of the Democratic primary ballot this June. Benjamin was arrested earlier this month on bribery charges. (Gothamist)

  5. Music lovers rejoice! NYC's SummerStage announced on Tuesday this season's line-up of 90 outdoor concerts in venues across the city, including in Central Park, Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, and Flushing Meadows-Carona Park in Queens.
