The 15-year-old is described to be 5-feet, 5-inches tall, 120 pounds with dirty blond hair. He was last seen on Monday, Feb. 26 near Stattford Court wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants, said the TBI.

“I can’t recall off the top of my head when the last search like this was,” Chief Deputy Eric Craddock with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said. “Obviously, this one is exponentially more important being a child who does have autism.”

Officials believe he could be in the area of Beech/Shackle Island area near Long Hollow Pike.

Several agencies including TBI, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Nashville Fire Department, City of Hendersonville’s first responders, Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, and Shackle Island Volunteer Fire are all assisting in the search for the teen.

“They bring people, they bring a lot of a lot of equipment that we don’t have here, underwater rovers; they have awesome equipment and experience,” Craddock said. “They deal with searching rescues much more frequently than we do.”

Helicopters, boats, drones, K-9s and horses are all being utilized in the search efforts.

Authorities are asking nearby residents to check their surveillance video for any sighting of Sebastian. The TBI also suggests looking in outbuildings, garages, and cars, in case Sebastian uses any of these as hiding places.

“We know that Sebastian likes to fish, so really there is no option that is off the table,” Craddock said. “Sebastian likes to hide. He likes to get into small spaces and hide under his bed. So we are checking everything from drainage culvers to backseats of cars.”

Craddock told News 2 Rogers’ family is home with a detective waiting for his safe return.

Anyone who sees Sebastian Rogers is asked to call the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
