Sunday Sacramento farmers market returns downtown this weekend. Here’s what to expect

Sacramento’s Sunday Certified Farmers Market returns to the underbelly of Highway 50, on Eighth and W streets this week.

The market was relocated to Arden Fair Mall in 2021 due to a highway construction project.

Sacramento’s favorite Sunday farmers market is moving back under a bridge. Here’s when

With its highly anticipated return downtown, customers can expect business as usual.

“It is our special goal to make the market return day atmosphere as normal as possible,” Dan Best, coordinator of the markets, told The Bee in an email. “We wish to keep the disorientation caused by the move as minimal as possible.”

According to a June 21 update, you can expect to find a wide variety of fruits and vegetables at the stands, including green beans, root vegetables, garlic, tomatoes, berries, cherries and early stone fruit.

Due to the winter rains, some produce will be ripening a little later than usual for the season.
