If you like cool starts, sunny skies, low humidity, and "warm but not hot" afternoons, today's the day! It won't last forever though.
KEVIN ROTH: Good Sunday morning, everyone meteorologist, Kevin Roth. It is time for your 1 Minute Weather Update, and the update is a good one. I think you're going to really like the weather today. It is starting off cool this morning, a little chill to the air. Temperatures mostly in the 40s and 50s as you step out the door early today, but we are warming quickly. By 9:00 AM, we're in the 60s. By noon, we're pushing almost 80. I've got the high today in the mid 80s. That sounds very hot. Keep in mind it is dry air, so it's a dry heat. Still warm, yes mid 80s is hot, but at least we don't have that humidity to go along with it. A lot of sunshine too, so grab the sunglasses if you are headed out.
KEVIN ROTH: Not a bad day to head out to the beach. Maybe if you're really lucky, get out on a boat. Winds out of the Southeast 10 to 15 knots. Slight chop on the bays and lakes. Gulf waves at three to four feet. No rain issues, not a lot of cloud cover out there, but that doesn't mean that there's no changes. Watch these winds start to shift here, going from Northeast to Southeast as we head through the day, as this high pressure moves off to the East. That starts bringing in more of that Gulf moisture as we head into next week, and you'll notice that tomorrow in the form of a bit more cloud cover. A low chance of some showers, then we have an approaching cold front as we head into Tuesday. And that will bring up rain chances there for Tuesday and into Wednesday. So there is rain in the forecast, just not for today.
KEVIN ROTH: Here's what it looks like as we put it all together. Low humidity and just beautiful sunny skies today. Mid 80s, yes as I mentioned, it is a warm day for sure. Then those rain chances return. Moisture returning Monday, better rain chances really on Tuesday and Wednesday as that front moves in. Could see another front approaching as we head into the weekend. Better rain chances towards the end of the week and into next weekend. I'm meteorologist, Kevin Roth. I hope you have a fantastic Sunday.
