The Akron RubberDucks have canceled Sunday night's planned movie and fireworks event at Canal Park.

The minor league baseball team announced that its Let Three-Dom Ring movie and fireworks night at the downtown ballpark was canceled shortly after the city released videos showing the officer-involved shooting of Jayland Walker during a traffic stop Monday.

The Sunday night showing of "Space Jam: A New Legacy" on the ballpark's giant video screen was to be a fundraiser for the Summa Health Foundation.

"The RubberDucks ask fans to join the city of Akron and pause for a moment of reflection on Sunday," the ball club said in a statement on Sunday.

Those with tickets for the movie night can exchange them for a future RubberDucks home game based on availability.

The RubberDucks game Monday night against the Altoona Curve is still scheduled for  7:05 p.m. start on the Fourth.

There are fireworks still scheduled to be shot off at the conclusion of the game.
