Keep that umbrella handy today and tonight because the chance of showers and thunderstorms will fall from 70 to just 60%.

But if the sound of windshield wipers makes you glum, the National Weather Service has some good news.

While there is a slight chance of rain on Monday, next week is otherwise expected to be dry until Saturday.

And after weeks of hot, steamy weather, temperatures beginning Monday are expected to peak at a comfortable high around the low 80s during the day and drop about 20 degrees at night.

Here’s a closer look at the forecast:

New rainfall on Sunday is expected to amount to less than a tenth of an inch, except during the thunderstorms when higher amounts are possible. The temperature will range from a high near 76 during the day and a low around 65 at night.

Monday will bring a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m., then turn partly sunny with a high near 79. The night will be partly cloudy with a low around 62.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny during the day with a high near 79 and partly cloudy at night with a low around 62.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny during the day with a high near 81 and partly cloudy at night with a low around 61.

Thursday will be sunny during the day with a high near 82 and mostly clear at night with a low around 62.

Friday will be sunny during the day with a high near 83 and partly cloudy at night with a low around 65.

Saturday will bring a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. But it will be mostly sunny during the day with a high near 83.
