SunFest's multi-day, multi-stage waterfront musical festival is in full swing in downtown West Palm Beach. Opening day was Friday, May 5. Palm Beach Post photographers were there to capture amazing scenes and band performances. See the above gallery for the best images from Friday.

Friday's music lineup on the Ford Stage included: East East Harbor (alternative pop); PLS&TY; Anabel Englund (house, dance, pop rock) and headliners The Chainsmokers (pop, electropop, future bass). On the Ideal Nutrition Stage, Friday's music performances included SoulPax; The Nameless; LAYA; and headliner, Flo Rida.

But SunFest's success always depends on the weather, and there's good news on that front. Here's the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

  • Saturday, May 6: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86, but there's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. It'll be a little breezy, with gusts as high as 18 mph. At night, it'll be partly cloudy, with a low around 71. There's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. It could get a bit breezy, with winds of 10 to 16 mph and gusts as high as 23 mph.

  • Sunday, May 7: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. There's a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. It'll be a bit breezy, with winds of 11 to 15 mph and gusts as high as 22 mph. At night, it'll be partly cloudy, with a low around 68 and little chance of showers. Winds will be 7 to 13 mph with gusts as high as 18 mph.
