Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul will return Sunday against Memphis at Footprint Center after missing seven games with a sore right hip.

The All-Star is listed as probable as he hasn’t played since the first half of an Jan. 6 game against Miami.

Deandre Ayton will miss his second straight game with a non-COVID illness. The Suns are also still without All-Star guard Devin Booker (groin), Landry Shamet (foot) and Cameron Payne (foot).

Cam Johnson is set to play Sunday as the plan was for him to sit Saturday’s game after making his return Thursday against the Nets from a torn right meniscus that sidelined him 37 games.

Johnson scored 19 points off the bench in a win over Brooklyn. The Suns (23-24) followed that up with a 112-107 victory over Indiana as Josh Okogie scored a game-high 24 points in his return from a broken nose.

Okogie sat Thursday after taking an inadvertent elbow from Ayton in the first half of Monday’s 30-point loss to the Grizzlies (31-14) in Memphis on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Wearing a mask for the first time, Okogie is listed as available for Sunday’s game.

The Grizzlies are coming off a 122-121 road loss to the Lakers to snap an 11-game winning streak that began after losing to the Suns in Memphis on Dec. 27.
