New Super 1 store planned in Lafayette
A new Super 1 Foods location is planned for the former Shoppers Value at the corner of Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Dulles Drive, KLFY reported.
The Brookshire Grocery Company, which owns Super 1, announced this week that it entered into an agreement to put a new location at 2240 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in the Marketplace Plaza strip mall. It would be Super 1's 51st location and the third in Lafayette.

The new store is expected to add around 150 jobs.

The two other Lafayette locations are located at 3747 Ambassador Caffery Parkway and 15 W. Willow Street. Both of the existing locations are hosting grand reopening celebrations beginning Wednesday, offering a chance to win free groceries for a year.
