The two 1-seeds in each conference will face off on Sunday in State Farm Stadium in Super Bowl LVII.

Kansas City and Philadelphia each won two home games to get to Arizona to play for the title, but in different ways. The Chiefs grinded out one-score victories over the Jaguars and Bengals, while the Eagles earned blow-out victories over the Giants and 49ers.

Andy Reid vs. Philadelphia. Kelce vs. Kelce. Mahomes vs. Hurts. As Super Bowls go, the storylines are loaded.

Who is going to win on Sunday evening, besides the Rihanna Navy? Our experts talk it out and make some picks.

MAKING HISTORY: 'It's special': Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts talk about historic Super Bowl 57 for Black QBs

2017 OR 2022? Which Eagles' Super Bowl team is the best, 'Philly Special' or Jalen Hurts experience?

Super Bowl 2023 game picks

Nick Suss, Tennessee Titans beat reporter

Eagles 20, Chiefs 17

The Eagles' pass rush is the best unit in football. Patrick Mahomes won't have time to pull off his usual theatrics, especially with a depleted receiving corps. Jalen Hurts finally wins a ring for a game where he's not benched at halftime.

Gentry Estes, sports columnist

Eagles 28, Chiefs 20

I think Philly is a more complete team — and a healthier team. Kansas City was awfully banged up after the AFC title game, while the Eagles have barely broken a sweat in their two playoff wins.

Paul Skrbina, Predators beat reporter

Chiefs 31, Eagles 24

Three words: Healthier Patrick Mahomes. On his rested ankle, the son of a former major league pitcher will prove too much for Philadelphia.

Drake Hills, Nashville SC beat reporter

Eagles 27, Chiefs 20

Patrick Mahomes and his questionable ankle won’t be able to elude Fletcher Cox and company, even on two weeks' rest. Simple reason: Marquez Valdes-Scantling won’t be enough. The Eagles defense – front to back – will be too smothering. Jalen Hurts gets his ring, completing the best career turnaround story in years, and A.J. Brown will be laughing at the Titans all offseason.

Aria Gerson, Vanderbilt athletics beat reporter

Eagles 45, Chiefs 42

Whoever has the ball last will win this one.

Mike Organ, college sports reporter

Eagles 30, Chiefs 24

A.J. Brown didn’t get much done in the NFC Championship game, but he will in the Super Bowl making it that much more painful for Titans fans to watch.

George Robinson, high school sports reporter

Eagles 27, Chiefs 17

Philly’s unrelenting defensive pressure will start to wear down Patrick Mahomes in the second half as Eagles QB Jalen Hurts throws three TDs to capture Philadelphia’s second Super Bowl in the last five years.

Nick Gray, trending sports writer

Chiefs 34, Eagles 24

When in doubt, pick the best QB/coach combination. Patrick Mahomes should be more mobile, and Andy Reid is coming off an extra week of preparation.

Dani Mohr, trending sports writer

Eagles 35, Chiefs 24

We’ve already seen that Philadelphia’s defense is nearly impenetrable. With Mahomes’ questionable ankle, he won’t be able to match up with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles’ receiving core at full strength. A.J. Brown will score a touchdown and rub it in the face of the Titans.

Tom Kreager, high school sports editor

Eagles 27, Chiefs 20

A.J. Brown goes from the Titans to Super Bowl winner in one year. Yes, that’s a tough one to swallow for Titans fans.

Em Poertner, South Region sports planner

Eagles 31, Chiefs 27

Jason Kelce is playing for two, and I’m not talking about Travis. With Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie 38 weeks pregnant and bringing her OB-GYN to the game, he has extra motivation to come out on top of the Kelce Bowl.

Chris Thomas, South Region sports director

Chiefs 35, Eagles 24

Patrick Mahomes had two weeks to rest his injured ankle and Chris Jones will ground the Eagles’ run game. That means more receptions for A.J. Brown but not a victory for Philadelphia.

Tommy Deas, SEC Enterprise Editor/Cross-Team Leader

Eagles 27, Chiefs 21

The Eagles have been the dominant team in the NFL this season for a reason. Philadelphia has the best offensive line in all of football, and that’s going to help Jalen Hurts & Co. keep Patrick Mahomes on the sideline while the Eagles grind out yards and control the clock. The Chiefs are dangerous but not as complete a team as Philly.

Greg Hardwig, South Region Assistant Director of Planning-Sports Planner

Chiefs 31, Eagles 24

Patrick Mahomes pushes Kansas City just over Hurts and the Eagles in a thriller.
