Super Bowl 57 will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the home of the Arizona Cardinals.

But the Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles could both stake an ownership claim in the stadium if they win the NFL championship there on Feb. 12.

After all, both teams are already 1-0 at State Farm Stadium this season and a win would give them two wins at the venue in two games in the 2022 NFL season.

Guess how many games the Cardinals played at the venue this season?

8.

Guess how many wins Arizona's NFL franchise had at the Glendale stadium this season?

1.

That's right, the winner of Super Bowl 57 will have won more games this season at State Farm Stadium than the NFL stadium's home team.

Ouch. That's not something Arizona fans want to remember.

How Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles fared at State Farm Stadium this season

The Chiefs opened the season playing in the venue in Week 1 when they crushed the Cardinals 44-21 on Sept. 11.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes had a field day for Kansas City in the game, throwing for 360 yards on 30-for-39 passing and throwing five touchdown passes.

Tight end Travis Kelce had eight catches for 121 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

The Eagles' win at State Farm Stadium over Arizona came in Week 5 on Oct. 9,  a 20-17 win to move Philadelphia to 5-0.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts went 26-for-36 passing for 239 yards in that game, but really hurt the Cardinals on the ground, where he rushed 15 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns.

How Arizona Cardinals fared at State Farm Stadium this season

Amazingly, the Cardinals' lone win at home this season came in a 42-34 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 7 on Oct. 20.

Arizona also lost at home to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 (20-12), Seattle Seahawks in Week 9 (31-21), Los Angeles Chargers in Week 12 (25-24), New England Patriots in Week 14 (27-13) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 (19-16 in overtime).

The Cardinals were also the home team for a 38-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11 in Mexico City.

That home record is something Cardinals fans would like to forget, especially for Arizona fans who had dreams of their team hosting the Super Bowl this season after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted and won the Super Bowl in 2021 and the Los Angeles Rams hosted and won the Super Bowl last year.

Kansas City Chiefs history at State Farm Stadium

Since the Cardinals' stadium opened in 2006 (Arizona played at Arizona State's Sun Devils Stadium before that), the Chiefs have gone 2-1 at the venue, only dropping a close game in 2014.

Sept. 11, 2022: Chiefs 44, Cardinals 21

Dec. 7, 2014: Cardinals 17, Chiefs 14

Oct. 8, 2006: Chiefs 23, Cardinals 20

Philadelphia Eagles history at State Farm Stadium

The Eagles haven't had much playing success at State Farm Stadium through the years.

Before winning in Glendale this season, they had been 0-4 at the venue, including a memorable 32-25 NFC Championship Game loss to the Cardinals in 2009.

The coach of that Eagles team? Current Chiefs coach Andy Reid.

Oct. 9, 2022: Eagles 20, Cardinals 17

Dec. 20, 2020: Cardinals 33, Eagles 26

Oct. 26, 2014: Cardinals 24, Eagles 20

Sept. 23, 2012: Cardinals 27, Eagles 6

Jan. 18, 2009: Cardinals 32, Eagles 25

Either the Eagles or Chiefs are going to have a very special history at the stadium after Super Bowl 57 on Feb. 12.
