Hair salon franchise Supercuts appears to be opening a new downtown location at 401 S. Kimbrough Ave. in Springfield.

Supercuts is a chain that vows to offer consistent, quality haircuts at a moment’s notice. This shop doesn't require appointments and offers a wide range of hair services including men’s haircuts, women’s haircuts, kids’ haircuts, color services, and waxing.

Supercuts will soon sit in the same shopping center with Insomnia Cookies, Qdoba and Firehouse Subs. This will be the fifth Supercuts location in Springfield. The other locations are at:

  • 2135 W. Republic Road

  • 1306 E. Battlefield Road

  • 3250 E. Battlefield Road

  • 4406 S. Campbell Ave.

The News-Leader reached out to Supercuts about an opening date but didn't get a response by press time. It appears Supercuts has started working on the inside of the space. According to the city of Springfield's website, building permits have been sought for plumbing, mechanical and electrical work.
