Superior hosts informative grasslands tour

Oct. 16—Superior Open Space, Boulder Watershed Collective, Mountain View Fire Protection District and many other local organizations will host a Superior Grasslands tour to discuss open space management and wildfire mitigation.

The tour will start at Coalton Trailhead, 3495 McCaslin Blvd., 4-6 p.m. Oct. 24. The tour will consist of a walk into the grasslands with multiple stops to discuss open space management, goat grazing, current plant surveys, native plant restoration and wildfire preparedness.

Coalton Trailhead will be closed the day of the tour. Attendees are advised to park at the parking lot at the corner of Indiana Street and McCaslin Boulevard. The walk from the parking lot to the trailhead is approximately 0.4 miles. Attendees are advised to arrive early.
